Jim and Shannon’s desire to help children was inspired by Shannon’s older sister Whittney. Born with Down Syndrome, Whittney’s courageous spirit and positive nature was the inspiration from which the Foundation was formed.

Since 2005 the Jim Mora Count on Me Family Foundation has made a positive difference in the lives of thousands of children along with their families and over 50 children’s organizations. They are children who might be at risk, in need, from low socio-economic backgrounds, or mentally and/or physically challenged youth.

The Foundation supports children’s charities and programs through financial grants, gifts and increased community awareness - empowering organizations to help children improve their lives by:

• Building and Instilling Confidence
• Encouraging Health, Wellness and Safety
• Fostering Learning Opportunities


Through an annual grants review process, the Foundation and our Board of Directors determines programs to be funded. Successful partnerships have the opportunity to receive additional funding. The Foundation seeks to partner with programs whose missions align with ours creating a mutually beneficial synergy.

We are able to support so many in need through financial donations from you, our generous supporters. If your company matches funds, you can even double your donation!

Donations can also be made through One Time Gifts, Sponsorship, Creating Fundraising Events, Monthly Donation Plans and Planned Giving.
